     Sir Roger de Huntingfield of Huntingfield, Suffolk, and Frampton , son of Sir William de Huntingfield and Isabel Fitz Roger, was born before 1200. Since he was an adult in 1221.1
     William held the following positions or offices: Kinght of Huntingfield and Mendham, Suffolk, Harlton, Cambridgeshire, Frampton, Fishtoft, and Southrope, Lincolnshire, etc, Keeper of Dover Castle, Warden of the Cinque Ports, and Sheriff of Norfillk and Suffolk.1
     In 1203, he was appointed Constable of Dover Castle.1
     In 1205, he had a grant of the manor of Clafford, Hampshire.1
     Isabel Fitz Roger, the wife of Sir William de Huntingfield, died in 1207.1
     In 1208, Sir William had custody of the lands of his brother, Rober, which had been seized in consequence of the interdict. From 1208 to 1210 he was one of the justices before whom fines were leview.1
     In 1213, William gave King John six fair Norway goshawks for license to marry his daughter, Alice, then widow of Richard de Solers, and to have assignation of her dowry out of the lands of her late husband. Also in 1213, he helf the office of accountant with Aubrey de Vere, Earl of Oxford, for the customs of Norfolk and Suffolk.1
     In 1215, William joined the confederate barons against King john. He 25 barons appointed to secure the observance of the Magna Carta which King John sign June 15 1215. He served as a witness to the charter granting freedom of elections to ghte abbeys.1
     He was among the barons excommunicated by Pope Innocent II and his lands were taken into the king's hands.1
     On October 6, 1217, he made peace with King Henry III and had restitution of his estates.1
     In 1219, William had leave to go to the Holy Land on crusade and appointed Thomas his brother to act on his behalf during his absence.1
     Sir William de Huntingfield, the husband of an unknown person , died before January 24, 1220 during the 5th crusade, possibly in the Holy Land..2,3,1
