     Timothy Mark 'Tim' Cain Timothy Mark 'Tim' Cain, of Dothan, died Saturday, Nov 6 2004 atSEAMC. He was 43. Tim was born July 26, 1961 in Houston County andlived most of his life in Dothan. He along with his father, owned andoperated Cain's Ironand Metal for the past 23 years. Tim was in thefirst graduating class of Northview High School in 1980 where heplayed football for the Northview Cougars. Tim later received anassociate degree in Business Administration from Wallace CommunityCollege. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Dothan,the Alabama Head Injury Foundation, and the Southeast AlabamaCoalition of People with Disabilities. Tim also served as an advisoryboard member with the Impaired Drivers Trust Fund. He was a localadvocate for people with disabilities. Survivors include hisfather, Bennie E. Cain, Dothan, a sister and brother-in-law, Paula andTommy Mims, Abbeville; two nieces, Casey Leigh Mims, Atlanta andAshley Elizabeth Mims, Abbeville. Tim was preceded in death by hismother Bobbie Casey Cain, who died in 1997. Serviing as activepallbearers will be Joeseph Whatley III, Larry Taylor, Bart Casey,Scott Casey, Shane Williams, Wes Williams, Rusty Cain and Jay Moss.Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Welch and ErnieMaynard.

     Lillian Caldwell was school teacher. She Lillian was raised in Montgomery AL. She graduated from Girl's HighSchool in Montgomery AL in 1907. She began teaching in 1912. Forseveral years she taught school 9 months of the year, kept house, andparticipated in Church and Civic activities. She continued hereducation by attending Livingston College in 1910 and Peabody Collegein the summer of 1915. She attended Troy State Teacher's College parttime in 1923 and 1924 and Birmingham Southern part time in 1927 and1928 while teaching at Westover and Camp Branch in Shelby Co. Afterattending summer school for several years at Alabama College inMontevallo, Huntingdon College in Montgomery and Alabama PolytechnicInstitute (Auburn University), Lillian received her BA degree fromAlabama College on 25 Aug 1943. During her teaching career duringthe depression years, Lillian and Maud had no eletricity, telephones,or running water even in town. Much of their meat and vegatables weresupplied by the family farm. One year in the 1930s, the teachers werenot paid as Alabama did not have the money. Teachers existed by beinggiven credit at the stores and from produce, meats, dairy products,etc., brought in by the students who lived on the farm. Lilliantaught school at several locations in AL: near Wetumpka, Seale,Georgiana, Coffee Springs, Ashford, Cotonwood, Westover, Camp Branch(near Saginaw), Petrey and Luverne. She was buried in Luverne City Cemetery, Luverne, Crenshaw Co, Alabama. .
