Elizabeth woHughSmithwick was born c. 1625. guess. Elizabeth. Hugh's wife's name was Elizabeth. Some researchers feel she was aWindley since Robert Windley settled on an adjoining plantation and Edward and Elizabeth Smithwick witnessed Robert Windley's will. These researchers feel the Elizabeth who witnessed the will was Hugh's wife. Hugh's marriage to Elizabeth occurred by 1644 and probably after 1642 when Hugh was listed as a headright. There are no known vita lstatistics for Elizabeth Smithwick. After the death of Hugh Smithwick, she married a Mr. Ward who predeceased her. Elizabeth was still living as late as May 1694, but the date of her death isunknown.
