Prisoner of war records state that A B Hudson, Pvt 11th GA Militia Infantry, surrendered at Tallahassee on May 10 1865 and was paroled on May 22 1865 at Albany GA.9 In 1867 in Prec 756, Sumter Co, GA, A B Hudson was. on the list of qualified voters. He had lived in Georgia for 320 months, Sumter Co for 12 month and the current precinct for 7 months.10 Aaron died on Sep 10, 1869 in Americus, Sumter Co, GA. It is thought that he originally was buried at Andersonville but later was reburied in Oak Grove Cemetery in Americus, Sumter Co, GA. No marker has been located.4 |
