Mahala Boddie (1795-1832)

 

Mahala Boddie daughter of Nathan Boddie and Unknown was born in 1795.

 

She married Phillip McCarty son of Michael McCarty and Martha Boddie c. 1817 in South Carolina.

 

She was the wife of Phillip McCarty in the census in 1830 in Edgefield Dist, SC. female 30-39.1

She died in 1832 in Edgefield District, South Carolina. Mahala had been ill for some time before her death. Mary Mitchell was hired to take care of her and run the household during Mahala's illnes. Cause of Mahala's death is unknown.2

 

 

Phillip McCarty1,3,4,5,6,7 was the son of Michael McCarty II (1754-1843) and Martha Boddie (1756-1810). He and Mahala Boddie had the following children:
