Before reaching the cemetery, you pass under high voltage power lines crossing the highway. When you come to the crest of the hill, you will see a small airstrip. The Ballard Cem is on the left side of the road about fifty feet from the road. There you will see a white wooden gate, which is the entrance to the cemetery. A gray stone mausoleum is visible through the pine and oak trees. The mausoleum dates from 1914. The two Ballard tombs are the oldest ones in the cemetery.¹⁴
