A nephewsuggested that he may have been killed in the War Between the States.Obviously both of these satements cannot be correct. Both of thesestatements come from the Culver-Spillers book. However at age 17,James was living with his father in the 1860 Hancock Co GA census. He, son of Jeptha Grace Culver and Louisa L. Latimer, was born in 1843 in Hancock Co, GAG+.12
