NOTE: there is some information on the internet from Family Tree DNA that suggest this William Everett is related to the Nathaniel Everett family from North Carolina. Many of Nathaniel Everett's descendants moved from NC to Georgia around 1800 without settling in South Carolina.

1785 May 21 William Everett was granted 200 acres in the Orangeburg District of SC adjoining Back Swamp and near the Savannah River. Plat shows vacant land on 3 sides and and William Decas on the other.The land is on both sides of a wagon road. [281 v4]

Sep 4 1788 William Everitt died in Winton Co SC. [246 V1]
His will was recorded on July 15 1789. Wife: Nancy; Sons: John M(<21), Thomas; Dau: Luckey, Polly, Nancy, Sally Templeton, Elizabeth Dyess (wife of William Dyess); Executors: wife and William Dyess
the will of William Everett is listed in miscellaneous papers of Winton Co, p37.[137]

1791 Nov 7 - a plat for 18,500 acres for George Lathan and William Minor on Tims Branch on Hollow Creek in Winton County of the Orangeburg District mentions William Averett. [109].

In July 1788 in Orangeburg Dist, SCG+, William Everett. William Minor and George Latham were granted 15,060 acres whichadjoined William Everett and many others. Type: NEIGHBOR.
On 5 July 1788 in Orangeburg Dist, SCG+, William Everett. a plat for for 229 acres for Joseph Vince on the back swamp of theSavannah River mentions William Averitt. Type: NEIGHBOR.2,6
