Billie received the European Theater Ribbonwith 5 battle stars and also received the Victory Medal. She alsoserved with the 59th Field Hospital in Czechoslovakia for a shortperiod. She was separated at Fort Dix, NJ on Jan 11, 1946. Sheretired as Captain in the Army Reserves on Aug 15, 1955. She receiveda letter of thanks for her wartime service from President HarryTruman. ¨.
