His daughter,Elizabeth Ann, stated, when filing for her husband's Confederatepension in Florida, that she had married Jones Pittman nearMilledgeville. Allen left that area before 1850. An Allen H Jones wasfiling patents for lands in Henry, later Houston, Co, AL and JacksonCo, FL from January to June, 1860. I'm still trying to determineif thelands were adjacent properties at the AL/FL border. In 1880, his agewas reported in the census as 95. According to Miriam's records, hedied on Nov 5, 1880. He's supposedly buried in an unmarked grave neara large brownrock at Cottonwood Cemetery in Cottonwood, AL. He, was born in 1795 in North CarolinaG.2
