Case was debt on a $170 promissory note given by Kingery to persons calling themselves Shivers and Schley. Deputy Sheriff John Fondred served the papers on Abram Kingery on May 28 1839. Jury verdict for the plaintiff at Dec 1839 court term of court. Judgement for $120 principal, $7.25 interest, and $11.50 for costs. Fi-fa issued.(Fieri-facias, usually abbreviated as fi-fa is a legal abbreviation that means the court found for the plaintiff and ordered the county sheriff to levy sell goods of the defendant as necessary to collect the debt.).
On 26 December 1839 in Laurens Co, GAG, plantiff(s) William Shivers and defandant(s) Abraham Kingry. Fi-fa was for $120. Fi-fa was handed to Doctor N Tucker on Sep 1 1843 and was used to levy on one 7 year old sorrel horse, 7 head of cattle, one pedlers wagon on May 4, 1844. Winfield Hightower laid in a claim for the above stated property. The claim to the wagon was sustained while the cattle and horse were found subject to the levy. The fi-fa was handed to John Kopp on January of 1846. Execution Docket p 1.2,3
