THERE IS NO KNOWN DOCUMENTATION AS TO THE PARENTS OF LOUISA CASEY.The only mention of Louisa is the 1850 Barbour Co AL census where she is 10 and living with the James Young family (he age 32). In the adjoining household were Robert and Nancy Casey Tillman who had been married 5 years. Next door to Robert and Nancy were Harriet Cox and her brother Alfred Casey, both children of Lemuel and Nancy Casey.None of Nancy's children were living with her and her new husband.Assuming her age according to the census is correct, Louisa is too old to be the child of one of Lemuel and Nancy's children. She could have been the grandchild of James C, Lemuel's brothers, but their families are fairly well documented and why would she not living with them. In the appraisal of (brother?) Terrell's estate in 1864, Louisa is not mentioned. None of the children listed in that document fit the age description of the youngest daughter in the 1840 census,female < 5. Louisa fits that description. Therefore based on the circumstantial evidence above, it is assumed that Louisa Casey, born1840, was the daughter of Lemuel and Nancy Casey.
