Poynes Weldon was also known as Pines Weldon.² He, son of Samuel Weldon, I, and Sarah Efford, was born about 1672. No known documentation.
On 22 August 1682 Peter Efford gave Samuel Weldon, I, and Sarah Efford in in Middle Plantation, James City Co, VAG +, owned by Peter Efford on James City Co (now Middle Plantation). DB [m2]. Witnesses: John Gawen, Thomas Braner, and Poynes Weldon . [wm].
. Some sources say Poynes/Poines Weldon is Samuel Weldon(I)'s son; other sources say he is a brother to Samuel (I). PERSONAL OPINION: Samuel I was born in 1650 and died in 1692. Poynes died in 1746, birth unknown. Therefore he is much more likely to have been Samuel's son.³
In 1692 Mrs. Sarah Efford, widow of Samuel Weldon, I, brought an action in York Co, VAG, by Poynes Weldon, her attorney.⁴
On 30 December 1693 in James City Co, VAG +, William Sherwood appointed Poynes Weldon as his attorney.⁵

Edgecombe Co NC was formed in 1741 from part of Bertie Co. Tarboro, the eventual county seat, was not chartered until 1760.

Poynes Weldon married Ann before 1746.

Poynes Weldon died in 1746 in Edgecombe Co, NCG +.¹
On 19 August 1784 in Halifax Co, NCG, Pines Weldon of Franklin Co NC sold Sarah Weldon of Halifax Co 80 acres for 120 lbs proclamation money. in Halifax Co, NCG. Adjoining [R:00030] deceased, the land having been willed to [R:00004] by his father [R:00028] and the land was never divided from land left [R:00030] by his father [R:00029].²

Archibald Averett married Nancy woArchibaldAverett before 1789 in Hancock CoG. There is no known documentation that identifies the children of Archibald and Nancy Averett. Based on circumstantial evidence, it appears that Henry, Albright, Nancy, Solomon, and Mary are probably their children.¹
She was a witness to. This indenture made and executed by and between John W. Scott, Sheriff of said county, of the one part,and [p2] purchaser at sheriff's sale, of the county of Hancock of the other part, witnesseth that the said John W.
