[106] lists wife Sally ;sons: James, Joshua, Thomas, Silas, Jeptha; daughters: Polly Melson, Patsey Atkinson, Betsey Whaley, Tabitha Alford, Dolly, Peggy, Comfort.
[P1f] was a land owner in the in 1805 tax list for in Ogeechee River, Capt Deverreauxs District, Warren Co, GeorgiaG, on the Ogeechee River. 150 acres and 200 acres. Both joined Kingery but Kingery was not listed in the tax list.7

Washington Co GA was formed in Feb 25, 1784 from Wilkes Co and Creek indian lands ceded in 1783. Thanks to several courthouse fires and General Sherman, very few official records still exist for early Washington Co GA.

Greene Co GA was formed on Feb 3,1786 from Washington and Wilkes Counties.

John L Latimer age ~24 married Elizabeth Wilson age ~21 on 5 April 1788 in VirginiaG. It is unknown exactly when John Latimer arrived in Georgia. He first appears in the 1794 tax lists for Hancock Co GA where he owns land that was granted to Harman Runnels in 1785 in Washington Co GA. Thanks to General Sherman, no land records exist for early Washington Co GA.1,4

Hancock Co GA was formed in Dec 17,1793 from Washington and Greene Counties. The courthouse burned down in October of 2014.

In the in 1805 land lottery of in Hancock Co, GAG+, [p1] drew 2 blanks. He was the only Latimer listed for the state of GA.9,1088
In the in 1806 Georgia land lottery, in Capt Birdsongs District, Hancock Co, GeorgiaG, drawer(s): Leah Latimer [m]; John L Latimer [m2]; Elizabeth Betty Latimer [m3] [m4] [m5] [m6].3
On 7 February 1807 in Dry Creek, Hancock Co, GAG, John L Latimer sold Demsey Hayes. 112 ac on south fork. Adjacent property owners: Leah Latimer, William Murphey, William Seal, Sr.888111111
On 6 July 1812 in Hancock Co, GAG+, for the estate of John Averett dec'd, on thier giving bond and security of five thousand dollars, John L Latimer were appointed as administrators. Any three of the individuals, Jane Walker, are to be selected as appraisers.12

John L Latimer signed a will in 1824 in Hancock Co, GAG+. John Latimer: wife Betsey; sons: John B., German B, William, Henry W.Thomas L, Benjamin F; daughters Polly, Betsey, Nancy, Matilda, Becky Birdsong, Leacey Cheely, Patsey Medlock.
John L Latimer died in November 1824 in Sparta, Hancock Co, GAG.1,2,13 He was buried in Medlock Family Cem, Sparta, Hancock Co, GAG. Find A Grave Memorial # is. 144564205.13
