William Washington Quarles age ~18 married Sarah Ann Day age ~15, daughter of John Day and Elizabeth WoJohnDay, in 1821. Thus I have chosen to use William Washington Quarles as the name of her first husband.1

In 1834. William acquired a portion of Tol-O-War-Micca's land from his father-in-law, John Day.
William built a four-room house on this land with a wide hall for his bride upon this property.
